The Bedford Health Department will be hosting a rabies clinic for cats and dogs from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 8. The clinic will take place at the Town Center Building at 12 Mudge Way (Yellow Building) and will be open to Bedford residents. Participants may park in the Town Hall parking lot at 10 Mudge Way, closest to the “tot lot” playground. Place yard waste in paper yard waste bags or open barrels that are clearly marked “yard waste.” Avoid using old rectangular recycling bins for yard waste as these can be difficult for the drivers to identify. Domestic Violence Services Network is a vital member of our community here in Bedford and beyond. We are returning to our annual in-person fundraiser this year, and couldn't be more excited! During COVID lockdowns, people financially supported our work and we were able to pivot quickly to meet the needs of our clients. Without having to write a grant or ask for specific funding, we started online support groups because in-person groups shut down, and created a community of survivors who are lifting each other up every single day. Wednesday, May 3, 2023 is National Bike & Roll to School Day. All families are encouraged to have their child try walking, biking, or rolling from home or from a convenient drop-off spot near their school. Lane School students who can't bike all the way from home can be dropped off to ride up the Narrow Gauge Trail to Lane on a chaperoned ride sponsored by Bedford's Bicycle Advisory Committee.
