Submit to the Calendar

Welcome to BeTC!

The Bedford Citizen Calendar (BeTC) aims to be a community resource – both a place for citizens to know what is going on around town, and for groups and organizations to publicize events.

We welcome and encourage community submissions to the calendar! We invite you to read the guidelines and enter your event information in the form below.

Note: Events will not automatically appear on the calendar after being submitted on the form below, but are held for editorial approval.

Email [email protected] with any questions, corrections, technical errors, or issues.

Thank you!

Calendar Guidelines and FAQs

Events held in Bedford, sponsored by Bedford non-profit organizations, or out-of-town events that feature Bedford residents are welcome. The calendar includes, but is not limited to, cultural, educational, and faith-based events that are open to the public. Non-profit organizations may post fundraising events, including “Donate & Dine” events for sports teams, student clubs, parent associations, and such.
Events sponsored by for-profit entities will not be posted to BeTC unless they are primarily fundraisers for non-profit community groups or schools. Otherwise, events submitted by a commercial organization must be free and open to the public to be considered. For businesses looking for a presence in The Bedford Citizen, we offer a sponsorship opportunity on our webpage.

Anyone can submit an event to the calendar through our online form.

The Community Editor ([email protected]) will review submissions and post events that fit The Bedford Citizen editorial policies, as well as the Calendar guidelines. The Community Editor reserves the right to amend how your event is listed when necessary. In addition, any event that cannot be verified by way of a submitter’s name and/or email address may not be posted.

Please allow up to three business days for The Citizen to review and publish your event.

Please note that you will not be notified when your event has been published, or if it has been rejected for submission. You may be notified with questions pertaining to the event.

If you have questions, please reach out to [email protected].

  • Whenever possible, please include a “for more information contact” with name, email and/or phone number in the event description.
  • Upload image files (preferably .jpg or .png) to be displayed on the calendar listing.
  • PDFs will not be displayed on the calendar but can be uploaded to provide information about the event.
  • Events taking place over a long duration (more than a week or so) may be entered as a start and end date. Events with a duration of a week or less may be listed as a range.

To be considered for editorial coverage, please send your press release as an docx attachment, or in the contents of an email to [email protected], with time before your event to allow our editors time to schedule your publicity message.

Report back after your event takes place: Crisp cellphone images from your event, a short recap, and a thank you to the community are welcome and will post in The Citizen‘s main newsfeed as space is available. Email your report to [email protected].
