The Umbrella Arts Center 40 Stow St., Concord

The Umbrella Visual Arts program, in collaboration with A La Luz, presents the revolutionary, multimedia exhibition, Points of Return. Featuring the work of 27 international artists, Points of Return is the first physical exhibition of the acclaimed online exhibition of the same name. This environmental art exhibition sees The Umbrella divided into themed spaces. A journey has been mapped out to allow visitors fresh and engaging insights into wide-ranging aspects of the climate crisis, its end destination that of resolute optimism. Community Conversation Luncheon on LGBTQ+ Aging In Bedford

The Bedford Council on Aging wants to ensure that all older adults feel welcome, safe and included at their Senior Center programs.  They are inviting LGBTQ+ older adults, caregivers and friends to join them for a lunchtime discussion about what it is like to grow older as LGBTQ+ people in Bedford and surrounding areas and what services and programs (including a community cafe) might be of interest.  The lunch will be on Saturday, May 13 from 11:00-12:30 at the CoA, 12 Mudge Way. BHS Playwriter’s Festival

The Bedford High School (MA) Theater Department presents the fourth annual Playwright’s Festival on Thursday, May 4th, 2023! The ten plays in this festival are written, directed, and designed by BHS students. The playwrights are Alex Coyman, Carolyn Crews, Charlie Desjardins, Cate Galante, Rachel Gould, Dasha Kerov, Connor McClung, John Mitchell, Shannon Sullivan, and Emily Zhu. The directors, designers, and actors are Iskra Arreaga, Verna Bowlan, Maggie Chessman, Dylan DeJesus, Yoana Dimitrova, Eve Fombu, Laura Fonseca-Morlock, Dhara Kaushik, Evan Kelly, Jennie Noh, Francesca Pellegrino, Emma Purtell, and Healy Weisman.
