Bedford Youth Soccer Wraps Up a Great Fall Season

November 15, 2023

Submitted by the Bedford Recreation Department

The Fall 2023 Bedford Youth Soccer season concluded on a high note this past Saturday, bringing an end to months of games, practices, and teamwork. With almost 700 players participating and over 150 dedicated volunteer coaches, this season was undoubtedly one for the books.

The Bedford Youth Soccer program provides children with an opportunity to learn and enjoy the game of soccer. This season exceeded all of our expectations, both in terms of participation and the commitment shown by the volunteer coaches.

The number of players in the program is a testament to the growing interest in soccer in Bedford and also to the quality and enthusiasm of our volunteers. This season, the fields were filled with enthusiasm, determination, and a genuine love for the sport. Whether it was their first season or they were seasoned veterans, each player had the opportunity to showcase their skills and grow as individuals and team players.

Our volunteer coaches played a significant role in shaping our players’ experience. Our many coaches dedicated their time and effort to ensure that each child found joy in the game of soccer. The impact of their efforts on our volunteers cannot be overstated, as they instilled not only soccer skills but also important life lessons such as teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship.

Bedford Youth Soccer celebrated the end of the Fall 2023 Soccer Season with Soccer Appreciation Night, held on the BHS Sabourin turf field on Sunday, November 12. The main event of the evening was a coaches vs. coaches game. The entire soccer community was invited to celebrate with food, games, activities, and fun! Thank you to POMS, the Bedford Athletic Association, and the BHS Soccer teams for their participation. The Bedford Youth Soccer Program serves players ages 4-14. We are looking forward to another fun season this spring!
