Bauman League Wraps Up Another Slam Dunk Season

The Bauman Basketball League wrapped up the 2023-2024 season on Saturday, March 2, bringing an end to a wonderful basketball season filled with fun, learning, and friends. The Bauman Basketball League is operated by the Bedford Recreation Department for children in Grades K-6.

This intramural recreation league is all about learning and growing to love the sport of basketball. The mission of the program is to teach, develop, organize, manage, and offer players the opportunity to learn the fundamental skills of basketball while instilling life lessons and values such as character, teamwork, discipline, respect, and sportsmanship. 

The goal of the league is to provide as many young athletes as possible the opportunity and chance to play basketball.

This season, more than 300 players participated in weekly practices, scrimmages, and games in Bedford. The program is made possible with the support of more than 75 coaches and volunteers who give their time and energy to fulfill the mission of the Bauman Basketball League. To of all the players, coaches, referees, and caregivers who made this season possible – thank you. Their dedication and love of the game is what makes the Bauman Basketball League so special.
