In a special workshop series over two days, Carving Clay: Expressive Precision, Saturday & Sunday, February 25 & 26, 10am - 4pm, Sabin will demonstrate her carving and piercing methods for creating symmetrical designs and patterns with accuracy and share the tools and techniques she uses to achieve her unique architectural forms. In the hands-on portion, she will guide students in applying and interpreting these techniques to their own work. Finding a new alternative for wheel-thrown or hand-built ceramic forms and learning to carve clay to create one-of-a-kind ceramic works of art.
University of Connecticut geologist and author Robert Thorson will join the Bedford Historical Society and its co-sponsor, the Bedford Garden Club, and the public in the video streaming presentation on The History of New England’s Stone Walls. He will examine several images of these special Northeast treasurers and show what local “wall-watchers” might see that “bird-watchers” might not. The event is free and open to the public. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Bedford Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.

Join us for a summer of music by The Beatles! Rock Voices is a non-audition choir (18+) and is open to all. The Bedford Rock Voices choir rehearses on Thursday nights, 7-9pm at the American Legion (357 Great Road, Bedford, MA) and the first rehearsal is Thursday, May 12. You don't have to be a "singer" to join this choir. You just have to love rock and pop music. This summer we're paying tribute to The Beatles. Our fall season will feature completely different music. Bedford Town Trail Walk Saturday March 4, 2023, 10:00 a.m. Concord Rd. town land Led by Bruce Wisentaner, Bedford Trails volunteer Please join the Bedford Trails Committee for a free trail walk in the woods on March 4, 2023. We plan to explore the town land north of Hanscom Field, hopefully crossing the town line to reach Thoreau’s birthplace in Concord. Pace will be leisurely. Expect very muddy or icy terrain, and ticks. The walk is less than 3 miles round trip and will take about 2.5 hours. March weather! The walk will proceed in almost any weather! Prepare for
