Where will you be at 11:59 pm on Saturday night, December 6?

If you’re vying for one of the many quickly-sold-out Winter 2015 Rec Department events or programs, you’ll be at your computer, ready to register once the software goes ‘live’ at 12:01 on Sunday morning.

“Registration opens Saturday at midnight so it is really Sunday 12:01 am,” said Recreation Director Amy Hamilton in an email interview yesterday.  “I have been trying to get word out.  We used to say 12:01, but changed to midnight which is confusing.”

She added, “If we had say in the time registration opens, it would be at a more convenient time.” The company contracted to handle registration sets the opening time, and there is no way to change it.

So, have a great time on Saturday night  (maybe at the BEF Bash?) then at the stroke of midnight get online and make your registration wishes come true!

While options exist for registering in the Rec office at 12 Mudge Way, the yellow building behind Town Hall, or mailing a check along with the form in the brochure, online registration is important for the popular offerings. Some have been known to fill within just a few minutes after the online option opens.

With a cheerful cover illustrated by children’s book author Judith Moffatt, the Winter 2015 brochure is crammed with adventures for young and old, adult education classes, and the more predictable exercise and athletic offerings.  If your copy of the brochure has slipped away, click Recreation Department Brochure-Winter  2015
