The Umbrella Visual Arts program, in collaboration with A La Luz, presents the revolutionary, multimedia exhibition, Points of Return. Featuring the work of 27 international artists, Points of Return is the first physical exhibition of the acclaimed online exhibition of the same name. The Art of the Automobile, photographs by Steve Edson, is on view at the Bedford Free Public Library gallery until July 12. "Form and function welded, bolted, and stitched together for speed, comfort, performance, and safety. The Parents Diversity Council and Bedford Youth and Family Services are excited to sponsor this year's Pride Day on Sunday June 11 from 1-4pm on the Town Common. There will be crafts, information tables, storytime, and live music...as well a festive atmosphere (think: parade and a "nonbinary-asaur") and an ice cream truck visit. The Bedford Cultural Council (BCC) is hosting a reception at the American Legion Post 221, 357 Great Road, on June 11 at 2pm to thank our 2022/2023 grant recipients. Ken Gordon, our state representative and Bopha Malone, Select Board Chair will say a few words followed by a brief presentations from some of our grant recipients. We will have displays from other grant recipients. The reception is open to the public and BCC committee members will be available to answer questions or assist in this year's grant application process that begins on September 1, 2023.
The Music Makes Me Happy Chorus will present a sing-along concert of songs about the sun and sunshine, to be enjoyed by people of all ages. Two special guests include Theodore "Spaghetti" Jensen-Fellows from Acton, singing about the science of the sun, and Mitchell Gordon, a fabulous percussionist with a Hang Drum performance, "A Sunshine Meditation". The chorus comprises special needs adults who love to sing, make new friends and give back to the community, and includes several members from Bedford.

All Bedford community members are invited to a community meeting on the New Fire Station Project, proposed to be built at 139 The Great Road. At this meeting, the Town's contracted architects and owner's project manager will provide a brief presentation about the process for developing a design for the project. The American Legion and VFW will host this event which starts at 6:15P – Scouts from Troop 194 will also actively participate in the ceremony. On Thursday June 15th at 7 PM, Democrats will convene virtually to choose 9 delegates and 4 alternates to represent Bedford at the 2023 State Democratic Convention. Registered and pre-registered Democrats in Bedford 16 years old by May 23, 2023 may vote and be elected as delegates or alternates during the caucus.
