The Anatomy of Comics

Bedford Free Public Library 7 Mudge Way, Bedford, MA

Students and faculty from Boston University‘s MFA program in Visual Narrative showcase their thinking and process for creating comics, graphic novels and picture books in the latest show at the Bedford Free Public Library gallery. A reception and artist talk will take place this Sunday. Artists include program chair, Joel Christian Gill, a cartoonist and historian who speaks nationally on the importance of sharing stories. He is the author of the acclaimed memoir Fights: One Boy’s Triumph Over Violence, cited as one of the best graphic novels of 2020 by The New York Times and for which he was awarded

We will start and end Saturday’s walk in the Hartwell Town Forest parking area on Hartwell Ave. The meet-up location is behind Bedford Free Public Library, as always. The current weather forecast for Saturday is sunny and cold. The walk will go on regardless of weather, so prepare for cold, wind, and snow, with appropriate footwear and waterproof layers.
