Please join us for this family-friendly social event on Saturday, May 11th at St. Paul's parish hall from 6 to 8:30 p.m.(light refreshments included), located at 100 Pine Hill Road, Bedford MA. Bedford’s window into 18th-century daily life, the Job Lane Farm Museum on North Road, has reopened to the public. Tours of the historic house, sponsored by the Friends of the Job Lane House, are scheduled for the second and fourth Sundays of the month from 2 to 4 p.m. through October. On Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 7 pm the BCA Photo Group will welcome photo-illustrator Lee Varis to discuss A.I. Image Rendering – Exploring the disruptive technology with a photographer’s eye. This presentation/demo provides an overview of the technology, and showcases a number of use cases for photography including generating new backgrounds, re-rendering photos in transformative ways, and briefly touches on A.I. animation. Lee Varis is a photo-illustrator now working in the Boston area. He has been involved in commercial photography for over 40 years. He started working with computer imaging over 20 years ago and currently works with digital as well as conventional photography in
Bedford Special Education Parent Advisory Council - SEPAC The mission of the Bedford Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is to establish better understanding of, respect for and support of special education to meet the needs of all Bedford students with disabilities. Activities include parent/guardian networking, communication with school officials, outreach to the community, state and national organizations, and sponsorship of educational forums. This long-time tradition is coming back with its healthy inventory of heritage perennials dug from Bedford gardens, herb & vegetable seedlings, as well as stock from local nurseries. We are planning on craft and food vendors, a goat petting zoo, children's activity table along with our famous baked goods table. We just need the weather to cooperate! Last year it rained pretty early! Proceeds from the plant and craft sale will support the work of The First Parish in Bedford, Unitarian Universalist. On Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 7 pm the Bedford Center for the Arts Photo Group will welcome Jessica Burko as the critiquer for an Image Sharing session on the topic: Creative Blur with Intentional Camera Movement or Open. Moving your camera while the shutter is open is not a new concept in photography, but there has been renewed interest in its use. There are many resources to learn about this technique. Here is one.
