On Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 7 pm the BCA Photo Group will welcome photo-illustrator Lee Varis to discuss A.I. Image Rendering – Exploring the disruptive technology with a photographer’s eye.  This presentation/demo provides an overview of the technology, and showcases a number of use cases for photography including generating new backgrounds, re-rendering photos in transformative ways, and briefly touches on A.I. animation.

Lee Varis is a photo-illustrator now working in the Boston area. He has been involved in commercial photography for over 40 years. He started working with computer imaging over 20 years ago and currently works with digital as well as conventional photography in conjunction with computer graphics to create images for use in print advertising.

Lee’s work has been featured on movie posters, video box covers, CD covers, numerous brochures, catalogs, and ads. He is responsible for the moth on the “Silence of the Lambs” movie poster! His creative imaging has been featured in National Geographic, Newsweek and Fortune magazines.  Varis.com
