What’s Bedford Thinking? Thanksgiving Pie

Thanksgiving is coming up on Thursday. 

Through the years, Thanksgiving has become a great way for families, friends, and groups to get together while taking time to reflect and share gratitude.

Parades, turkey trots, football games, travel, or high school reunions are Thanksgiving Day traditions across the country, but most people likely agree that Thanksgiving is about the meal (and leftovers!) 

Finder estimates that 293 million Americans eat turkey this year – spending $1.3 billion dollars on 46 million turkeys. That’s a lot, especially when it seems that the sides and desserts are the shining champions of the Thanksgiving table. 

And as far as Thanksgiving desserts go, pie tends to be the tradition. 

Google Trends offers the most searched Thanksgiving pies for the past 30 days sorted by state. 

(Are chocolate pie lovers using a different search engine or is Louisiana the only place to go for chocolate pie? Is anyone else questioning the dessert table in Kansas or Oregon?)
