Support The Bedford Citizen: Keep Local News Alive!

By Teri Morrow, Executive Director

Today, I am turning to you as we kick off our 5th annual NewsMatch campaign for local news here in Bedford. Please donate today to support The Bedford Citizen with your one-time gift or help sustain our work by giving monthly. Your one-time gift of up to $1,000 will be matched by NewsMatch, Werfen, and Suzanne & Company. Monthly gifts of any amount will be matched 12 times, up to $1,000.

As the Executive Director, thinking about how The Citizen can best meet the needs of our community is part of my job.

Robust coverage of local government fosters an engaged citizenry, which, in turn, leads to reduced corruption and mismanagement. And an engaged citizenry fosters more involvement not only in local government, but in our schools, local businesses, and the cultural life of our community.

Readers like you stand not only with The Citizen, but also for a rich and vibrant Bedford.

Yet, The Citizen faces an ongoing struggle to bring you essential news while generating enough revenue to invest in robust reporting and the systems that make bringing you the news possible.

Informative, relevant, and truly local news is why The Citizen plays such a vital role here in Bedford. And we are committed to being a free resource for our community.

It takes a small, but mighty team to bring the news to you and your neighbors. And we can’t do it without community support.

So, I’m reaching out to you, our community, for help.

You can bring the news to Bedford with your gift today. Your gift will be doubled by NewsMatch and our local sponsors, Suzanne and Company and Werfen, up to $23,000!

Your gift will keep local news alive and our community informed. Thank you for being part of The Bedford Citizen family!
