After receiving top state rankings, six Bedford Destination Imagination teams have been invited to represent Massachusetts in the international Global Finals competition this June in Kansas City, MO.
Four teams have accepted the invitation and are raising money to help pay for registration fees and travel expenses. Help support The Explorers (third graders), Legendary Lions (fourth graders), Star Streakers (fifth graders), and Destination Procrastination (eighth graders) by participating in fundraising events through the spring.
The Bedford MADI shirt store (https://www.bonfire.com/store/bedford-ma-destination-imagination/) is now open with the popular “Bedford 01730” design, a Bedford flag (with a Destination Imagination twist), and two new designs (“We procrastinate because there’s always last-minute” and “Creativity gets Sticky”), created and inspired by teams attending Global Finals this year. Designs come in a variety of sizes, sleeve lengths, and shirt or hoodie combinations and are shipped directly to the purchaser.
In addition, there will be a Ginger Restaurant fundraiser on Thursday, May 9 with 10 percent of proceeds from lunch and dinner dine-in or take-out going to all four teams.
