A Thanksgiving Morning of Turkey Trot Family-Friendly Fun Results in $16K for the Bedford Food Pantry

November 27, 2023

This year, 390 people spent their Thanksgiving morning taking part in the annual Bedford Turkey Trot. According to Race director Chuck Connell, the event raised about $16,000 through entry fees and donations from the participants for the Bedford Food Pantry. The money is certainly needed, especially when considering the challenges being faced by the BFP with increased demand and less help coming from the Greater Boston Food Bank.

“Once again, our sole corporate sponsor was Callahan’s Karate, who made a significant contribution,” said Connell.

This is a friendly fun-run/walk that doesn’t have timing chips or VIP tents. It’s is an event that has many nice people of all ages taking part in in a fun morning for a good cause.

The race reached its limit of 250 runners and there were around 140 walkers.
