
Halloween is coming up. Expect Trick-or-Treaters in Bedford on the evening of Halloween, Tuesday, Oct. 31.
The National Retail Federation (NRF) estimated a record-setting $12.2 billion will be spent on Halloween this year (including decor, costumes, and $3.5 billion in candy).
Indeed, there are many festive and extensive Halloween lawn displays around town again this year. According to NRF, the spending on adult Halloween costumes is expected to top that of children’s costumes this year by $600 million.
More than 5.8 million adults plan to dress like a witch, nearly 2.4 million as a vampire, 1.8 million as Barbie, more than 1.4 million as Batman, and 1.3 million as a cat.
