Bedford’s Scouts BSA Troop 114 are continuing their long-standing fundraising tradition of selling balsam wreaths. The community has shown great support for this event in the past and purchased close to 1,200 wreaths last year.
The scouts, who range in age from 11 to 17, are canvassing Bedford’s neighborhoods during late October and early November. The fresh wreaths cost $16 if plain and $20 with a red weatherproof bow, and will be delivered to your doorstep the weekend after Thanksgiving.
Funds are used for the purchase of camping equipment, supplies, merit badges and rank awards, and help cover the cost of the troop’s wide range of activities.
The wreath sale runs from Wednesday, Oct. 18 to Sunday, Nov. 19. Please be on the lookout for a Troop 114 scout coming to your door soon to take your order.
Online orders can be placed beginning Sunday, Nov. 5 at www.troop114.org/wreaths.
