Brad Conner and Ben Sears, in company with other Boston area performers, will present a concert, “In Praise of Vanity,” at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3 at the First Church Congregational Church (Jewett Hall), 11 Garden St. in Cambridge and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5 at the First Parish Church on the Common, 75 The Great Road in Bedford.
The program, in the long-running American Classics series, showcases songs by Lerner & Loewe, Jule Styne, Stephen Sondheim, Leonard Bernstein, Yip Harburg, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Stephen Schwartz, Ashman and Mencken, Jerry Herman, Comden & Green, Andre Previn, Rodgers & Hammerstein, and John Denver.
“Many of these songs you will know,” said Conner.
Joining Conner and Sears are singers Jean Danton, Caryn May, Dan Perry, Carolyn Saxon, and Marcus Schenck. Local favorite Steve Sussman will provide piano accompaniment.
