Gerald Paul Banner

Gerald Paul Banner of Bedford passed away on June 26 at the age of 76. He was the beloved husband to Louise (Morris) Banner, loving father of Aaron Banner and Dr. Elisa Flower and her husband, Jeremy. He was also the adored grandfather of Seren Banner-Goodspeed, Luka Banner-Goodspeed, Samuel Flower and Ariella Flower, and devoted brother to Maurine Claver.

Gerry grew up in Haverhill and graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1964. From there, he attended MIT, earning a B.S., M.S., and E.E. and never left, spending his entire nearly 40-year career at MIT Lincoln Lab.

Gerry was also an avid golfer, which included many tournament victories at Haverhill Country Club as well as five career hole-in-ones.

He loved his family and enjoyed the many extended family summer trips throughout New England.

Services will be at Temple Isaiah, 55 Lincoln St., Lexington, at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 29. Burial will follow at Shawsheen Cemetery, 15 Shawsheen Rd., Bedford.
