Ask Aunt Laura – How to Clean a Front Loading Washing Machine

Do you notice that your clothes don’t seem to smell as clean and fresh as they should when you take them out of the washing machine?

I’m betting your machine needs a good cleaning, which will only take a few minutes of effort on your part. Vinegar and Baking Soda will not only leave it sparkling clean (what can’t these two ingredients do?) I swear my clothes come out cleaner too!

For ongoing “maintenance” remember to wipe down the interior of the washing machine after you are done using it to keep mold and bacteria from creeping back in.
