Bedford Rotary once again invites Bedford families to Breakfast With Santa on Sunday, December 9th  at Bedford High School.  The doors open for this annual tradition at 9:00 am and close at 12:00 pm.

This will be the 32nd year that Santa has come to Bedford to visit the town’s children and listen to their wishes for Christmas 2018.  And, while they’re sitting on Santa’s lap Rotary’s photographer will be snapping a keepsake photo for them to take home with them.

Rotarian elves are also working hard on plans to bring a holiday transformation to the BHS cafeteria, making it bright and festive and including the creation of a Santa’s Village atmosphere.  Kids will be able to join in craft activities, have their faces painted, and learn the art of making balloon animals.
And Rotary’s kitchen elves are ready to serve up another great breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausages, cereals, bagels, juices, milk, including chocolate, and Starbucks coffee for the grown-ups.

Breakfast With Santa is the annual, primary fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Bedford.  While it’s a treat for the kids, it’s also for anyone wanting to help support the work that Rotary does both locally and globally.  Bedford Rotarians are committed to the ideal of “Service Above Self” and donate their time, energy and financial resources to the projects that the club supports

The Club’s signature project this year, for example, is the support of Operation Delta Dog, a program started in Chelmsford to rescue dogs from kill shelters, train them and pair them with local military Veterans suffering from PTSD or TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). These service or assistance dogs help bring life back to these deserving Veterans, their families, and friends. And, the dogs get a loving home.
