The meeting room at the Bedford Free Public Library was filled for both the morning and afternoon shows presented by Curious Creatures.
Moving from critters with no legs (snakes) though a tarantula with multiple legs, there were also furry ones, particularly the chinchilla, and a scaly one, Ali the alligator.
Children reached out to touch them all, except the tarantula, amid squeals of delight.
Plenty of children took home that they captured on cellphone cameras.
And it wasn’t clear which were more curious, the critters or the kids.
