Everyone is invited to join Bedford Public Schools in a community education session designed to promote safe learning for all.
Cultivating Safe Learning Communities for All will be held from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. on Monday, May 6 and 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15 at Bedford High School.
This program will be facilitated by the Equity Imperative in partnership with Bedford Public Schools and the Parents Diversity Council.
Each of the sessions is identical – people can attend whichever one fits their schedule.
This program will explore:
- How schools handle allegations of bullying, bullying behavior, and threats while simultaneously creating a sense of belonging in a safe learning environment.
- How restorative practices are a proactive approach to build essential skills for navigating conflict and problem solving.
- Some of the ways Bedford Public Schools plan to establish a clear and consistent approach to student discipline and bullying prevention that focuses on safety and skill building.
Refreshments will be available 30 minutes prior to each session.
