Bedford Mothers Out Front: May Chapter Meeting – Stop Hanscom Expansion

The speaker for our May Chapter Meeting is Neil Rasmussen, president of Save Our Heritage (www.saveourheritage.com), who will share information on why it is important to Stop Super Emitter Private Jet Expansion at Hanscom Or Any Airport. Plans for a massive hangar build-out for private jets at Massport’s Hanscom Field are underway. If carried out, these plans would not only triple the private jet capacity at Hanscom, but will undercut our town, state, and national Climate Action goals at a time when climate scientists are urging us accelerate these goals. According to Hanscom Field Advisory Commission (HFAC) chair Christopher Eliot, HFAC provides continued communication and education among the communities surrounding Hanscom Field and Massport and acts as an advisory commission for review and reaction to decisions relating to Hanscom Field, including land use, noise abatement, and transportation needs. Please join us for this free Zoom presentation: In July 2022, Tim joined the crew of the sailboat Felicity to sail from Conception Bay, Newfoundland, to Nuuk, Greenland.  Arrangements to leave the boat in Nuuk until next year fell apart, and they ended up sailing the boat back to Lewisporte, Newfoundland.  A year ago, Tim helped sail Felicity from Boothbay Harbor, Maine, up to Newfoundland, in preparation for this Greenland voyage.   Dr. Timothy Allen works as an independent contractor for Relion in Bedford, MA, manufacturer of a scientific instrument that uses an electron beam to make rocks light up
