Each year the Bedford Minutemen have held Pole Capping.  What is it?  A young man climbs a pole following the parade from the Town Common to Willson Park, pausing as they pass the Fitch Tavern.   The pole is capped with a red cap, signifying our fight for freedom, dating to April 19, 1775. It is a great event, sponsored with the Town of Bedford.  We are also looking for new members to join the Minuteman Company of Bedford.
