As we return to live performance, masks, which have been such a part of our lives during the pandemic, are a central theme of this concert. It is ironic that we had planned to have Fauré’s work on our 2020 pandemic-cancelled program. And now here we are, returning masked and celebrating masks in theater and dance. The program will begin with Gabriel Fauré’s Masque et Bergamasque, Op. 112 (arr. K. Camden) including a Minuet and a Gavotte. Next on the program will be a World Premiere of Conductor, Alan Pearlmutter’s Dance Suite featuring a Sarabande, a Waltz and a Bolero.
