On display in The Umbrella’s Second Floor Gallery from January 18 – February 24, 2024 are selected works by the late photographer and long-time Umbrella Studio Artist Sing Hanson. The exhibition includes an array of subjects and styles from natural attractions and rural landscapes to detailed still life and abstracted object details and more. Sing Hanson worked out of her Studio at The Umbrella since 2005, participating in a number of exhibitions, artist talks, and Open Studios. Working in photography, printmaking, and book arts, her work has been displayed throughout Greater Boston. She was a long-time resident of Bedford,
Bedford Town Archivist Ashley Large will describe her job, including managing extensive archival record groups, implementing digital preservation protocols, researching reference requests, chairing the Town’s Archives and Records Management Advisory Committee, and coordinating records management for all Town offices. This free quality education program is an opportunity for students to visit Shawsheen and explore 6 of the 20 vocational-technical programs over a three-week period. Bus transportation will be provided from the middle school, and bus rides home will be provided to various stops in town.
