The Bedford Town Calendar

68th Annual First Parish Plant Fair

Town of Bedford, MA 10 Mudge Way, Bedford

  This long-time tradition is coming back with its healthy inventory of heritage perennials dug from Bedford gardens, herb & vegetable seedlings, as well as stock from local nurseries. We are planning on craft and food vendors, a goat petting zoo, children's activity table along with our famous baked goods table.  We just need the weather to cooperate! Last year it rained pretty early!  Proceeds from the plant and craft sale will support the work of The First Parish in Bedford, Unitarian Universalist. In addition to other programs, First Parish supports local initiatives including Bedford Community Table and the weekly Food Bank;

Rotary Club of Bedford’s Day of Service

Native Pollination Preservation Garden 151 Great Rd, Bedford

On Saturday, May 18, 2024, more than 800 Rotary clubs and 30,000 Rotarians across 10 states and 7 countries, will volunteer in their communities for an unprecedented Rotary Day of Service, collecting clothes for homeless, refurbishing parks, and, much, much more. The Rotary Club of Bedford will be participating by holding a garden work day at the Native Pollination Preservation garden at Page Field, right behind Veteran's Memorial Park. Help us weed and plant and mulch the garden beds. Learn the value of the plants chosen for this garden to help our native butterflies and bees. Come for as long
