Bedford Fire Department is holding it's Annual Toy Collection on December 10 and December 17 from 10am - 2pm in the rear parking lot of Bedford High School (the lot adjacent to Liljegren Way). They are collecting new unwrapped toys for children, as well as non perishable food items (for Middlesex Community College Food Bank) and coats (donated to the John Dodge Coat Drive on behalf of St. Frances House). Come on buy and support our neighbors who could use a hand this holiday season.

The Concord Chorus, conducted by Dr. Kevin Leong, is pleased to present its annual Winter Holiday Concerts on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 2:00 and 5:00 PM at the Middlesex School’s Memorial Chapel, 1400 Lowell Road, Concord, Massachusetts. Please join us to celebrate the return of our holiday concerts with a heavenly selection of music and carols, including a piece by Ukrainian composer Dmytro Bortniansky and works by Palestrina, Brahms, Howells, Rutter, and Copland. The concert also features Assistant Conductor and pianist John Sullivan and organist Jonathan Wessler. Tickets are $30 (general admission), $25 (65+), and $10 (children and students).

After a three year hiatus, the Rotary Club of Bedford’s Winter Community Breakfast (formerly known as Breakfast with Santa) is returning on December 11, 2022 from 9 AM to 12 PM at Bedford High School. Our aim is to hold an event that will be inclusive of all members of our growing and diverse Bedford community. As in years past, there will be a hot pancake breakfast, winter crafts, photos with Santa, and a commemorative coloring book for the children to take home. New this year will be the addition of an Edible Snow Creature Building Contest, games, and activities

The Bedford Center for the Arts Photo Group welcomes back photographer and digital printmaker, Bill Davison as the critiquer for our next Image Sharing session. This virtual event will take place on Tuesday, December 13 at 7 pm and the topic will be Incongruity. Bill Davison divides his time between Long Now Boston and his studio at Western Avenue Studios in Lowell where he pursues photography and digital printmaking. His imaging practice is increasingly studio-based except when using his film and large format glass plate equipment in the field. Island of Peoples The Lowell Chamber Orchestra will perform this dramatic multimedia oratorio, composed in 2019 by Gabriele Vanoni. Island of Peoples is based on stories of immigrants coming to the United States, and it draws inspiration and material from the stories of the Ellis Island Oral Histories. These interviews include stories of struggle, pain, and sadness, but also of joy, love, friendship, and faith. The First Baptist Church of Bedford (155 Concord Rd.) invites everyone to a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec 24. Take a moment in the hustle and bustle of the season to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas – The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it (John 1:5). This service is a perennial favorite time of everyone with Carol singing and a child-friendly atmosphere. All are welcome!
