Junior Alyx Rossi struck out 18 and drove in both runs as the Bedford High School varsity softball team improved its record to 4-0 with a 2-0 home win over Triton Regional on Friday.
Rossi allowed only one baserunning who reached on a bunt. Triton batters hit nothing that went beyond the infield.
For Bedford, Addi Poulter reached on an error in the first inning and scored on Rossi’s line-drive double to right. Batting with the bases empty in the third, Rossi crushed a pitch over the fence in right-center. She singled her third time at bat.
Neither team drew a walk during the entire 90-minute game.
Bedford’s next game is at 4 p.m. on Monday at home against Burlington.
