Everyone is Invited to Eid Celebration in Bedford on Saturday

Submitted by the Parents Diversity Council

The Parents Diversity Council is excited to be joined by Bedford families and Muslim community members of Lexington to host an Eid celebration this weekend. Guests will be able to learn about the meaning and important traditions of Ramadan, as well as learning about the celebration that caps off this holy month, Eid-al-Fitr.

The event will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. this Saturday, April 6, in the Lt. Job Lane School cafeteria.

In addition to crafts celebrating the holiday and traditions, there will be henna available, which is a common tradition marking the end of Ramadan. To be sure there is enough for everyone and to prevent too long a line, there is a limit of two tattoos per family.

The presentation will be at 2:15 p.m. Come any time between 2 and 4 p.m. for crafts. Crafts are appropriate for pre-K through Grade Five.
