Grace Stergis, 98, of Bedford, formerly of Falmouth, and Wayland passed away at the Carleton-Willard Village Retirement Community on Feb. 20, 2024.
She was the wife of the late Christos G. Stergis with whom she shared 58 years of marriage. Grace is survived by her daughter Heidi Becker of Barnstable; son Rob Stergis of Newton; niece Barbara Devio of Gainesville, FL; nephew James Lee Murray III; and long-term friend Sheryl Norman of Mashpee.
Grace graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design and was an accomplished artist as well as art teacher. Her paintings were exhibited in art galleries and museums throughout New England as well as in Cedar Key, FL.
Grace was an active participant in organizations such as the Falmouth Artist Guild and Twenty-One in Truro. In addition to her interest in art, Grace had a love for travel, which she imparted to her relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be scheduled during summer 2024.
