The Bedford Arts and Crafts Society will present the “Paint an Abstract Landscape in Acrylic” workshop with Namrata Siviya from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10. The workshop will be held at the First Church of Christ, Congregational, 25 Great Rd.
Siviya will guide participants in painting a bold and loose landscape. Using one of three images provided as a starting point, participants will identify the lines of the landscape, simplify the image, and experiment with various degrees of abstraction. While briefly going over color mixing, values, and composition, the intent of this workshop is to connect with your intuitive voice and paint freely.
The workshop is limited to 20 participants – free and open to the public. All levels welcome. All materials will be provided for a $10 materials fee payable to the instructor with cash, check, or Venmo.
Siviya received her BFA in Applied Art at Govt. College for Art in Chandigarh, India. She studied filmmaking at National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad to further explore visual language.
