An Obituary: Helen Lillian (Iovino) Psomiades

Helen Lillian (Iovino) Psomiades, formally of Bedford, passed away peacefully in her home on Feb. 10, 2024, in Hudson, NH at the age of 73.

Helen was born on Feb. 17, 1950, in Arlington, MA. She was known for her outgoing and unique personality, always seeking adventure and making new friends wherever she went. Helen had a zest for life that was infectious and a genuine entrepreneurial spirit.

In her career, Helen pursued her passion for modeling and was co-owner of J+H Jewelry. Outside of work, she enjoyed motorcycle riding, a life with animals, listening to country and classic rock music.

Helen is survived by her mother, Frances Iovino; 13 brothers and sisters; her children Dianna (Psomiades) Walker, James Psomiades, and Melissa Psomiades; and her grandchildren John Psomiades, Joshua Psomiades, Alexandria Dogherty and her great grandchild Lyla Psomiades.

She was preceded in death by her father, Pasqualino Iovino, brother Charles Iovino, and her grandchild Ashley Psomiades.

In memory of Helen, contributions can be made to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua at 24 Ferry Rd., Nashua, NH 03064. May she rest in peace.

Was saddened to hear of Helen’s passing. She certainly did have a special flair and will be fondly remembered. Helen had a confidence about her that I admired. I am sorry for your loss but hope your memories will hold you at this difficult time. My deepest sympathies.
