Feb. 8 ‘Art Soiree’ Will Feature BHS Artists, Musicians

January 31, 2024

The Barrett Sotheby’s International Realty office at 51 The Great Road invites the community to its third in a series of “art soirees” from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8. The event will have a Valentine’s Day theme, celebrating kindness, said Jennifer Kelley, a realtor with Barrett Sotheby.

There will be a wealth of talent on display as 22 Bedford High School student artists show their works in a variety of media – from photography and digital art to ceramics to painting and drawing. Student musicians from BHS and Lexington will provide live music with their band, “This Could Take Hours.”

“The series is part of Bedford’s ongoing initiative to develop the artistic and cultural scene in town, in particular the cultural district of which the Barrett-Sotheby office is a part,” said Kelley. “We are really excited to highlight young adult artists and musicians this time around. Since starting this series, we’ve had a lot of fun planning additional events, switching it up a bit each time. The response has been amazing, it really shows that residents are wanting more arts and culture events in town.”

Lauren Frampton, sales manager for Barrett Sotheby’s Bedford office, said, “We are thrilled to collaborate with Bedford High School to showcase the incredible talent of our young artists. Join us for an enchanting evening filled with live music, captivating art, and delightful Valentine’s treats. Your presence will help us celebrate and encourage the budding creativity of our talented youth.”
