Bedford High School track and field student-athletes established two school records during recent Dual County League competition at the Track at New Balance in Brighton.

The girls’ four-by-400-meter relay team broke a record that has stood since 1991. The quartet of Grace Niu, Farrah Scott, Anna Massaro, and Zadie Buckley recorded a time of four minutes, 15.88 seconds, surpassing the previous mark by more than 4:17.

Also, senior Carter Rauch set a school record in the 600-meter event in a time of one minute, 24.04 seconds. Rauch set the previous record during the 2022-23 season; his new time was .11 seconds faster.

So far during this indoor dual-meet season, the girls’ team beat Waltham and Boston Latin while losing to Weston. The boys’ team defeated Waltham and lost to Weston and Boston Latin.
