Have you ever wondered how the Bedford Police Department operates? Now you can find out at the Citizen’s Police Academy, which is called “The Bedford Police Citizen’s Experience.”
The BPD is hosting an open house style-experience for Bedford residents and business owners, 18 years of age and older. This unique experience is an opportunity to better understand how the department works, and why. This will be a combination of education and practical learn-by-doing seminars.
It will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on four Wednesday nights: Nov. 29, Dec. 6, Dec. 13 and Dec. 30.
Experiences will include:
- Cop Toys – Hands-on with BPD equipment.
- “We came, We saw, Now what?”
- Community Outreach and Follow-up.
- Help Wanted! – Hiring and Recruiting.
- Dispatch and patrol Operations.
- Sleuth, Sherlock & Scene! Detectives & Investigations.
