Around 100 members of the Bedford High School Class of 1973 turned out for a big three-day reunion, packed full of events during the Sept. 22-24 weekend.
The Bedford Day Parade was one of the highlights with many members marching. Some of the attendees visited the high school, toured the Old Burying Ground, and enjoyed a look at the Bedford Flag with commentary from town Historian Sharon McDonald.
Karen Letizi LaPointe helped organize the events including the festive banquet on Saturday evening. She proudly noted that the Class of 1973 presented 10 ASPIRE scholarships to deserving students at the annual CSF Dollars for Scholars event on May 30.
Karen said, “We’ve been raising money since our 45th reunion, wanting to establish a legacy in honor of our 50th.”

The Class of 1973 leaders were equally enthusiastic about their big weekend, which was headquartered in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Woburn.
The weekend of events started on Friday with a walking tour of downtown Bedford with the Bedford Historical Society, hosted by Kevin Duffy, and a tour of Bedford High School with National Honor Society students, hosted by Ray Claflin. In the evening, Marsha Brock hosted an informal welcome get-together at the hotel.
On Saturday, Judy Church Delagarza invited attendees to march in the parade or to watch with classmates on the Bedford Common near First Parish.
Saturday evening’s dinner was the highlight of the weekend. The committee also put together a list of events happening in the Boston area for those who wanted to head out on their own or with classmates.
The ‘73 class reunion committee included Class President Ray Claflin, Class Vice President Judy Church Delagarza, Class Secretary Karen Letizi LaPointe, Class Treasurer Marsha Brock, Kevin Duffy, Joe Kleber, and Mark Woodworth.
