Is your group looking for a venue to get back into in-person meetings? Does your team need a place to practice presentations? Does your non-profit board need a public place to meet?
Well, we’ve got a place for that. The Bedford Free Public Library announced the re-availability of the library’s third floor conference room to small groups starting this month.
The space, designed for groups of four to eight people is equipped with a conference table, chairs, whiteboard, and wall-mounted monitor ready to connect to a laptop for collaboration.
Noreen O’Gara, Assistant Director of the Bedford Free Public Library said the conference room had been unavailable for most groups since the only elevator to that floor went offline in March 2022. Now that the elevator has been repaired, inspected, and declared operational and the room has been deemed ADA-compliant, it is reopened to the public.
In order to request use of the room offered free of charge, small groups must fill out a request online via the reservation form at least seven days in advance of requesting the room. After a review, confirmed requests will be scheduled during the allowable times that the Library is open. All of the requests must fit within the Room Use Guidelines available on the library website.
Scheduling requests can also be made through the library website at https://www.bedfordlibrary.net/services/study-rooms/ and selecting the Conference Room option.
