Join others from Bedford as we converge on the State House at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct 2. We will tell Governor Healey that private jet expansion is a luxury our climate can’t afford. More than 10,000 people from across the State have already signed the petition to the Governor asking her to use her influence with Massport to stop private jet expansion.
We will first hear remarks from Senator Mike Barrett and others on the steps outside the building before proceeding to the Governor’s suite to deliver the petition at 12:30 p.m. We will tell Governor Healey’s representatives that private jet expansion is a luxury our climate can’t afford.

Massport and private developers are proposing to triple the hangar space at Hanscom Field Civil Airport for the exclusive use of private jets! If the proposed expansion goes ahead, private jet emissions from Hanscom alone could cancel up to 70 percent of the climate benefits from all the solar PV ever installed in Massachusetts.
The Bedford Chapter of Mothers Out Front is working with the League of Women Voters of Bedford, Bedford Third Act, Bedford Embraces Diversity, and First Parish in Bedford, all members of a large coalition to Stop Private Jet Expansion at Hanscom or Anywhere. This broad Coalition includes close to 50 member organizations, 11 of them statewide.
