The First Baptist Church of Bedford is excited to welcome Alex Flett as its new Children’s Ministry Coordinator.

“Offering this service to our current and future parishioners is a great step in supporting the outreach of our church.”

Alex shared that during her search for her next opportunity, “I was seeking a role not only to nurture myself, but my children. There are others in our community that are looking for the same, and I am delighted to make that connection for all of us to God.”

Her guiding principle is: “Seek joy in the ‘every day’ and remain grateful for God’s blessings.”

Alex is the mother of a five-year-old son and an almost two-year-old daughter. She built and ran a Christian Homeschool Cooperative called “Guiding Lights” that met last year in the Connections Hall.

She believes all children are true miracles and looks forward to teaching the children of the First Baptist Church of Bedford to “know and love Jesus Christ.”

Sunday School will begin on Sunday, Sept. 24 during the 10 a.m. service. It will run on the second and fourth Sundays of each month in the downstairs children’s room.

Alex Flett is the new Children’s Ministry Coordinator at the First Baptist Church of Bedford.

Bible stories and crafts will be geared toward Pre-School/Elementary-age children. Toys and activities for toddlers and older children are available as well. All children are welcome to join.

Alex officially assumed her role at Rally Sunday on Sept. 10, which included a family-style lunch and games time.

Founded in 1956, the First Baptist Church of Bedford is a member of the American Baptist Churches and The American Baptist Churches of Massachusetts (TABCOM) and supports domestic and international mission programs.

Over the years, the church has enjoyed two building expansions and currently conducts its services in the sanctuary that can seat more than 250 people.

In January, the church conducted its 50th Anniversary Consecutive Memorial Service for the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday.

In March, the church invited internationally famous “Hymn Talk – Twin Talk,” identical twins podcasters Kerrie Fraser and Kellie Tropeano to present a musical tribute service.

In May, the church welcomed their new settled Pastor, Reverend Kevin T. Cunningham.
This month, everyone is invited to come and greet Alex Flett on an upcoming Sunday. Services are at 10 a.m. The church is located at 155 Concord Rd., Bedford. Or join online on Facebook (facebook.com/bedfordfriends) or on Instagram (Instagram.com/firstbaptistchurchbedford).
