Join a Presentation on “Facing Mental Health Issues Head On”

Submitted by Rotary Club of Bedford

Rotary International will work this year to improve mental health services and be known as an organization that takes care of its members as well as the people it serves.

The Rotary Club of Bedford and Bedford Youth and Family Services invite everyone to a presentation by Rotary International representative Bob Anthony from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6 in the Reed Room in Bedford Town Hall, 10 Mudge Way.

Anthony is a recognized leader in the field of mental health who will present on Rotary’s 2023 mission of Facing Mental Health Issues Head-On by breaking stigma, raising awareness, and increasing access to prevention and earlier treatment.

Bob Anthony is the Chair of the Rotary Action Group on Mental Health Initiatives (https://ragonmentalhealth.org/) and the Chair of Rotary District 6960 Chapter – Mental Health Initiatives Action Group. Rotary Action Groups are independent, Rotary-affiliated groups made up of people from around the world who are experts in a particular field.

He has helped implement mental health and wellness projects at the club, district, and global level. Anthony is also the Executive Director for Adolescent Wellness, Inc. (AWI). He founded AWI in 2005 after 20 years in the tech industry. AWI is a 501c3 non-profit that promotes practical resources to prevent mood disorders and prompt earlier treatment.
