I am writing in support of Sarah McGinley for the Bedford School Committee.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Sarah personally and working with her professionally. Sarah is a real estate lawyer who I trust to handle my client’s real estate transactions as well as my own. Whenever I work with her, she has been knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. I have known Sarah personally for several years, and she has always been kind and thoughtful. She has been my go-to resource for School Committee news, because she has been an active participant years before she was appointed to serve on the School Committee as the first military-family liaison in early 2022.
I was extremely concerned about the Principal’s decision not to hire a librarian at Lane School. I wrote to all of the School Committee members. Sarah was one of the members who had a thoughtful and helpful response to my concerns. She is knowledgeable about the literacy needs in our elementary schools and how librarians support our elementary students. I was grateful to know that she was advocating for a librarian in Lane School next year, and relieved to see that there is a budget line for a librarian. This is the kind of leadership and expertise that Bedford needs to ensure that our schools continue to be academically successful and support all of our students in their academic journey.
I am thrilled to vote for Sarah McGinley for School Committee on March 11. I hope you will join me!
