Bedford Pianist Paul André Bempéchat to Present Recital in Belmont

Bedford resident Paul André Bempéchat, whose piano concert delighted his local audience at First Parish in December, will present a recital at The First Church in Belmont (Unitarian Universalist) on Saturday, March 11 at 7:30 p.m.

The program includes Beethoven’s Opus 90; Schubert’s 3 Klavierstücke; and, Chopin’s Nocturnes in D-flat and E major and the B minor Sonata.

Bempéchat is currently in Uppsala, Sweden for six months, where he has been awarded a major fellowship to the Swedish Collegium for Advanced Studies. When he returns to Bedford he plans to open a piano studio. He and his wife Emma became Bedford residents last September and are already involved in the musical life of the community.

The church is located at 404 Concord Avenue, Belmont, and is wheelchair accessible. Admission is by donation and proceeds will go towards maintaining the church’s musical instruments. Tickets can be purchased online at bempechat.eventbrite.com, or at the door. Suggested donation is $25 per ticket.
