Letter to the Editor: Side with Those Opposed and Vote “No” on Article 10

~Submitted by John Stella

I support the people of west Bedford and will note vote “no” on article 10, a proposed paved road and land takings plan on Reformatory Branch Trail (RBT).

I share concerns with the people of west Bedford’s strong opposition to the Select Board’s proposed plan to put a paved road and land takings near their homes in west Bedford. At March 2022 Town Meeting, Bedford voters turned down this proposed plan and it was not passed by 1/3 of votes.

The people of west Bedford and Bedford voters had spoken loud and clear. Now, the Select Board wants to gamble by bringing up another vote for land takings and paved road for RBT at November 14 town meeting.

The Select Board should not gamble bringing another vote again against the will of west Bedford and Bedford voters. The Select Board should start listening to the concerns of people and voters of Bedford.

Please join west Bedford voters, vote “no” on article 10 on November 14 at 7 pm at the Bedford High School basketball gym.
