Holiday House Tour Front Door Edition 2021 a Big Success

December 17, 2021

One of the great traditions in Bedford is the Holiday House tour, put on by local realtor Suzanne & Company along with the Chamber of Commerce.   Traditionally, the Holiday House Tour involved people who would allow visitors into their houses to see their decorations and enjoy music and snacks while raising money for local causes.

Since the pandemic, in-house gatherings have been put on hold.  Last year, and again this year, the Holiday House tour turned into an outside/drive-by event.

This year there were 24 stops on the tour, three of which were local businesses: Suzanne & Co, Chip-In Farm, and Churchill Stables.  Five of the stops held special events, including Santa, and horse-drawn carriage rides.  So far the event has raised just over $3000, but the organizers will be auctioning off several custom-built wooden reindeer later this week, to bring the total higher.

Suzanne & Company delivered $2000 in gift cards plus wreaths to Lane School last Friday, as the school distributed packages to Bedford families in need. They plan on connecting with the schools and town services to see how they can get additional funds into the hands of Bedford families, once the final fundraisint total is known. Chip-In Farm also donated eggs to the food pantry for each person who came in with their tour map to receive their own free dozen eggs.
