Arthur Leo McManus, Sr. passed away on March 19, 2019. Mr. McManus worked for the Town of Bedford for 35 years in various positions as a Physical Education teacher, coach, Athletic Director and Director of Recreation. He was one of the original founders of Wedgewood Swim and Tennis Club and Manager of the club for over 30 years. Arthur was a long-time Member of the Lexington Golf Club and an inductee of the Bedford High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
Visiting hours will be held in Shawsheen Funeral Home on Friday, March 22, 2019, from 5 pm to 8 pm. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Michael’s Church, 90 Concord Road, Bedford on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at 11 am. A Celebration of Life will be held following the Memorial Mass at Waxy O’Connor’s, 94 Hartwell Avenue, Lexington from noon till 4 pm.
