Town Receives Four Development Proposals for Former Coast Guard Housing on Pine Hill Road

According to Assistant Town Manager Michael Rosen, four proposals to develop the former U.S.Coast Guard property, a 5-acre parcel on Pine Hill Road, were received by the Town of Bedford by the December 28 deadline. Proposals were received from:

  • Devellis Consulting of 41 North Road #203, Bedford, MA 01730
  • NOW Communities of 336 Baker Avenue, Concord, MA 01742
  • TR Advisors, LLC of 77 Franklin Street, 4th Floor, Boston, MA 02110
  • The Village at Bedford, LLC of 58 Rhodes Road, Princeton, MA 01541

The proposals will be reviewed and evaluated during 4 upcoming meetings of the Municipal Affordable Housing Trust (MAHT). The meetings will be held in the Multipurpose Room at Town Hall, 10 Mudge Way, at 7 pm each evening. MAHT will review the proposals on Wednesday January 4 and Thursday, January 5, then interview the developers on Wednesday, January 11 and Thursday, January 12 before awarding the final contract.

The Town convened two Charrettes, one on April 14, 0214 and another on May 22, 2014  to surface options for developing the parcel that was then owned by the US Coast Guard. In late October of 2017, a purchase and sale agreement for the land was completed and a request for proposals went out to developers.
