By Joan Bowen, Board of Directors, The Bedford Citizen
For several years we have all heard the call for a Town Calendar that would provide residents with access to a free, full listing in a single location of all that is happening in Bedford. It’s coming now as one of the changes to The Bedford Citizen scheduled for release in early September.
BeTC (Bedford Town Calendar), developed by The Citizen with a grant from the Bedford Cultural Council, will consolidate the listings for all town boards and committees, the schools, and the many nonprofit organizations that enrich life in Bedford. It will be a single source to check on an upcoming meeting, a school concert, an open discussion at a local church, BHS sports schedule, a fundraising event or when an organization plans its next membership meeting. From one location you will be able to secure all the information you need.
Watch for the debut of BeTC in early September! Local organizations will be receiving information on how to list their events directly in the near future. In the meantime, if your organization wants to start listing events right away, send all relevant information to [email protected]. Allow up to 48 hours for a posting to appear. There is no charge to post an event. Guidelines for posting on BeTc will be available through The Citizen website, bedfordcitizen.wpengine.com.
The development of BeTC, the Bedford Town Calendar, is supported by a grant from the Bedford Cultural Council.
