Library Hires Bethany Klem as Head of Children’s Services

Richard Callaghan, Director, Bedford Free Public Library, has announced that Bethany Klem of Waltham will be the new Head of Children’s Services, starting Wednesday, November 13.  She comes to Bedford from a similar position at the Saugus Public Library and she has also worked in children’s services at the Needham Free Public Library. Klem has experience reviewing fiction and non-fiction children’s materials for The Horn Book Guide.

She holds a Master of Arts degree in Library Science from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wellesley College.
